Yes, I know I have been MIA. (Missing in action, for those that don't know.) Since Jason has moved to a different base, he is working the night shift and has access to a computer...his nights are our days. So, basically, for the past week and a half since this has happened, I have gotten abosultely NOTHING done.
While yes, it's wonderful to email back and forth all day and constantly sit in front of the computer, anxiously awaiting the next email...it also makes me want to pull my hair out. I don't want to walk away to do something and him think I'm not there anymore and then I won't hear from him again for another hour or so. But when do I find the time to do everything that needs to be done? ARGH!
But, in the past few days, we have gotten more into a "rythm"...if you can call it that...one in Afghanistan the other in California...and I've been able to finally, somewhat, resume life as normal while adding the constant minute by minute emails. ha.
It's such a wonderful change for Jason to be able to really be having it "GOOD" his last 2 months there. And I mean, he really has it good. I sometimes wonder if he wants to come home...kidding. So anyways, yes, we have it really good right now and let's just say, we have less than 50 days.
Now, I will start with my "wittyness"...is that a word, if it's not...I'm going to add it to my collection of made up words! Jason and I have planned and booked our vacation when we get home. You may think we are weird...we had a few thousand dollars set aside to go on an all out, all inclusive vacation...guess what we chose...TEXAS!
Hey, we might as well since we are going to be there anyways. Plus, we are really looking forward to our week away. We are going to Johnson City to stay with Jason's second parent's at their new bed and breakfast. There we plan on going to Enchanted Rock and wineries...in Texas...who knew? Plus, we are really looking forward to having some quality time with Patti and Patrick! Then we are going to the Riverwalk to spend a few days and enjoy our spa hotel. Nice! Then...and get this...anyone who knows me knows that I CAN'T DANCE. Period. Jason says I look like a chicken when I dance. I might agree.
Our last 2 nights we are going to stay at a B&B in Gruene and go dancing and floating the river. So, when we booked that...guess what the first thing I did was...I bought my first pair of cowboy boots...ever. I wonder what people will think of these here in Cali.
Really cute...right! My theory...if I can't two step...I might as well have cool boots. ha. My plan...to have family dance nights in the living room so that Jason can teach me to two step before we go to Texas. And well, if that doesn't work...at least I'll have fun floating the river in Gruene!
Oh, and I did buy Jason a pair of cowboy boots. He chose them...but they aren't his first pair so it's not as big of a deal...mine are prettier!
